SoliSana (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the SoliSana iOS app.
SoliSana is a wellness app focused on sun exposure guidance, hydration tracking, weather and UV information, reminders, and related personalization features.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information you provide
We may collect information you choose to provide, including:
- Account information, such as your email address and Apple Sign In details, if you create or use an account.
- Profile information, such as display name and personalization settings.
- Survey and wellness information, such as skin type, UV sensitivity, hydration goals, sunscreen preferences, reminder preferences, and related lifestyle responses.
- Messages or text you enter into app features, including chat-style features, if enabled.
B. Information collected from your device or through app functionality
We may collect or process:
- Location information, including precise location, when you grant permission, in order to provide local weather and UV information.
- Location search inputs if you manually search for a place in the app.
- Local app activity and wellness tracking data, such as hydration entries, hydration history, sunscreen application logs, timer state, selected routines, sun exposure progress, reminder settings, and similar in-app usage state.
- Notification preferences and reminder schedules you configure.
- Live Activity or widget-related state needed to display active routines on your device.
- Device-generated technical information necessary for authentication, security, app functionality, and service requests.
C. Information from third parties
If you use Sign in with Apple, we may receive certain account details from Apple, such as a user identifier and, in some cases, your name and email address.
If you use backend authentication or cloud-connected account features, we may receive account and session information from our service providers.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide core app features, including hydration tracking, sun routine guidance, weather and UV display, reminders, and personalization.
- Create and maintain your account and sign-in session.
- Deliver notifications and Live Activities you choose to enable.
- Improve app stability, security, and feature performance.
- Respond to support requests and enforce our terms.
- Offer premium or subscription-based features if those features are enabled in the future.
- Develop future features, such as deeper health integrations or AI-assisted guidance, if and when launched.
3. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with:
- Apple services, such as Sign in with Apple, WeatherKit, MapKit, notifications, widgets, Live Activities, and sharing features, when needed to provide app functionality.
- Service providers that help us operate the app, secure the service, or support future paid features.
- Other parties when you choose to share information using iOS sharing tools.
- Law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the app.
We do not currently use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking technologies to track users across other companies’ apps or websites.
4. Data Storage and Retention
Some app data is stored locally on your device, such as profile settings, hydration history, reminder settings, and routine state.
If you create an account, account-related information may also be stored by our backend service providers.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and whether you use account-based features.
5. Your Choices
You can:
- Choose whether to create an account or use certain features as a guest, where available.
- Allow or deny location access in iOS Settings.
- Allow or deny notifications in iOS Settings.
- Use manual location search instead of device location for some weather-related features.
- Choose whether to share app content using iOS sharing features.
- Request deletion of your account-related data by contacting us at team@solisana.app.
If you delete the app, locally stored data on your device may be removed, subject to iOS behavior and any cloud backups or account-linked records.
6. Health-Related and Wellness Information
SoliSana may process wellness-related information you provide, such as skin sensitivity, hydration behavior, and sun exposure preferences, to personalize the app experience.
SoliSana is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment advice.
If we later add integrations with Apple Health or similar services, we will update this Privacy Policy before those features are broadly enabled.
7. Purchases and Premium Features
If premium subscriptions or paid features are enabled, purchases may be processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
We may receive transaction status, subscription status, or related entitlement information needed to unlock premium features.
8. Chat and AI Features
Any current or future chat, assistant, or AI-related features may involve user-entered text.
If those features are processed only on-device, the information may remain local to your device.
If we later connect chat or AI features to remote servers or third-party AI providers, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe that processing before or when those features launch.
9. Children’s Privacy
SoliSana is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about our handling of your personal information. To make a request, contact us at team@solisana.app.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will revise the “Last Updated” date and may provide additional notice inside the app or through other appropriate means.
