These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply when you use the Solisana iOS app or solisana.app. By using Solisana, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

About Solisana

Solisana is a wellness and lifestyle app that provides UV information, weather information, tanning routines, timers, sunscreen reminders, hydration guidance, burn-risk estimates, and optional cosmetic skin analysis.

Solisana is not a medical device. Its content and results are informational estimates and are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or guarantees against sunburn, skin damage, dehydration, or other harm.

Your Responsibility

Sun exposure affects everyone differently. You are responsible for monitoring your condition, using sunscreen and protective clothing, seeking shade, following product directions, and adjusting your activity based on your health, medications, sensitivity, environment, and professional advice.

Do not rely on Solisana as your only safety measure. Weather, UV, location, and other third-party information may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Consult a qualified medical professional about health concerns.

Optional AI Skin Scan

The AI Skin Scan is optional, and you may use the manual questionnaire instead. If you choose the scan, your selected selfie is sent to OpenAI for cosmetic image analysis. Results may include estimates of visible characteristics such as skin shade, undertone, tone evenness, apparent skin age, current tan level, cosmetic skin score, visible redness or “UV stress,” lighting quality, and confidence.

The scan is not facial recognition, does not identify you, and does not diagnose health conditions or determine race, ethnicity, biological sex, medical conditions, or actual UV exposure. Your Fitzpatrick type is based on your questionnaire response about how your skin reacts to sunlight—not on the scan.

You may submit only a photo of yourself or a photo you have permission to use. See our Privacy Policy for details about image processing and retention.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Solisana may offer optional subscriptions or purchases through Apple. Prices, billing periods, trial terms, and renewal information are shown before purchase. Apple processes payment and manages billing, cancellation, and refund requests under your Apple Account and Apple’s applicable terms.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

Permitted Use

Solisana grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not:

• Copy, modify, resell, or distribute the app or its content without permission.
• Reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to the app or its systems, except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise.
• Use the app unlawfully, fraudulently, or in a way that harms others.
• Abuse automated features, circumvent limits, or submit harmful content.

Intellectual Property

Solisana and its content, design, software, trademarks, and related rights belong to Solisana LLC or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

Third-Party Services and Connectivity

Some features depend on Apple, OpenAI, weather, mapping, hosting, analytics, and other service providers, as well as an active internet connection. Their services may be unavailable or governed by separate terms and privacy policies. Your carrier may charge for data use, including roaming.

Availability and Changes

We may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary. We do not guarantee that Solisana will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or operating-system version.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Solisana is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solisana LLC and its service providers disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions made in reliance on the app’s estimates or third-party information.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Termination

You may stop using Solisana at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the service, create security risk, or if the service is discontinued. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Solisana.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material updates will change the “Last Updated” date above and may receive additional notice where appropriate. Continuing to use Solisana after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
